She lives in Bar Harbor, Maine with her fat cat and three cute dogs that all like fudgicles. She graduated from the MFA writing program at Vermont College in 2007, and asserts that the first draft of her debut novel was written during this time. It was as a journalist that she became an award-winning reporter and editor, who won many press awards including the Maine Literary Award for children’s writing and another for nonfiction. She at first had an interest in a legal career before deciding to take up journalism. She was born and raised in Bedford, New Hampshire, before moving to Maine, where she went to Bates College. Her most popular work “Need” is among several of her works that have appeared in the New York Times bestseller lists and won multiple awards. And Time Stoppers, which is a middle grade based in Maine, came out in April, and I think the next books in that come out next April.Carrie Jones is an American author best known for the writing of young adult fantasy and paranormal fiction. “Next I have Flying, which came out in July, it’s sequel Enhanced comes out next July. He’s a poet, and I’m reading some of his poems right now.”

Like, I didn’t think that writing was a powerful enough thing to change the world, so I kinda eventually when I got a little bit more mellow I wanted to be a human rights attorney.”

“I didn’t always want to be a writer because I didn’t realize you could make a living writing, and I didn’t think I could do enough good. When you were a kid did you know you wanted to be an author, or did you want to be something else? And my third favorite place is the airport, because it’s super busy so it makes me really focused.” “My favorite place is probably really boring cause it’s just my desk, and my second favorite place is my bed, but that sounds really lame. I’m also in an organization called Rotary International, there’s like 1.3 million members all across the world, and they try to make the world a better place. So basically, I hang out with my friends a lot and I hike and kayak. But that sounds like the most lame answer ever, but I also kayak and I hike a lot near Acadia National Park. I love my dogs, so I walk them a lot and I hug them a lot.
